After working in-house at fast growing B2B tech companies (Marketo, Jive, Agari), Crissy and Charlie Saunders were frustrated by the lack of expertise found in traditional agencies. They also saw firsthand just how difficult it is for companies to grow without a ton of headaches and growing pains.
So in 2015, Charlie and Crissy set out to create a new type of agency based on 4 core key principles:
1. The marketing/revenue ops teams that build Revenue Growth Architecture should be an elevated function for B2B SaaS companies with a seat at the table and a key player in defining the marketing strategy.
2. An agency should be filled with the most talented operators in the industry and not just project/account managers that get in the way (what we do is too complicated for non-technical people to lead a project).
3. The CS2 culture should be focused on work life balance, protecting the team from burnout that many MOps/RevOps people experience.
4. Every member of CS2 should be learning faster than they ever have in their career, to help them grow. And so CS2 clients always have access to the best and brightest.
